Same, but...Different?, Could Japan's Government Pension Affect Your Net Worth?, Fed's Forecast Dims Hope Amid Inflation and Housing Crunch, and Understand Proposed Changes and Ideas for a Better Economy
Turnkey Retirement Newsletter:Volume 17
Our prayers go out to the family of Corey Comperatore. We should all give thanks to God for turning Donald Trump’s head, a slight move that without it would have turned a tragedy into a total nightmare scenario. The United States literally dodged a bullet on Saturday.
Let’s all take a second to appreciate the things that matter – like our family, friends, and health – before we dive into the things that don’t nearly as much.
Same, but…Different?
Is this time different? 🤔

In this week’s edition of “you are here” pointing to a chart that hasn’t looked the same since RIGHT before most other major recessions, make sure you call Jeff Bezos on this “Prime Day” and thank him for carrying the economy.
Could Japan’s Government Pension Affect Your Net Worth?
Japan is on the verge of a fire-sale of hundreds of billions of US debt to plug gaping holes in their teetering banks and pension funds.
This could crash Treasury markets already pushed to the limit by Joe Biden's $2 trillion deficits.

Japan’s $1,000,000,000,000+ dollar-based investment pool across government and corporate pensions could be moved to domestic assets in the near future, partly due to a focus on bonds in the pension. Similar moves on smaller scales in the past have done nominal things such as cause banks to go under. Is this concerning? I’ll let you decide.
Fed’s Forecast Dims Hope Amid Inflation and Housing Crunch
BREAKING: The median mortgage payment in the United States hit a new record high of $2,894 per month, for May 2024 (that's an increase of +14% from 2023, +23% from 2022, and +78% from 2021), per Redfin.

Seems like the year of Record Highs. Probably not done yet. As long as these interest rates are higher for longer, we will see more records shattered.
Understand Proposed Changes and Ideas for a Better Economy
Reduced corporate tax rates, imposed tariffs on trade, constraints on China-made products, and more are some of the talking points related to Trump’s efforts to improve our current economy. Take the time to understand what those are as they are likely going to impact the eQRP consumer and investor.
Closing Word
An important consideration when thinking about markets and the future is the expectation of policy. Right now the betting markets place the likelihood of a Trump presidency at 69% likelihood the highest it’s been and Trump’s policies will be drastically different than the current or future Biden/Harris policies.
Lots to consider and plan for. You’re not alone, the eQRP team and your community are all here to plan, prepare, and navigate these waters together. Looking forward to seeing you in the community virtually and live at our upcoming events!
To Freedom,
