What Does it Really Mean for a Central Bank to Buy Gold?, CRE Feeling the Pressure, and CrowdStrike? Never Heard of it

Turnkey Retirement Newsletter: Volume 18

Welcome. We’ve entered the land of “it’s not theory anymore.”

Banks have evaporated in China, banks have lost the ability to transact worldwide, and banks are telling their clients what they can and can’t spend their money on.

Combine that with the fact that 3 companies own massive interest in most of this country’s top companies, it’s almost like finding a way to hold your wealth in hard assets that are outside their “system” may not be the worst thing in the world.

What Does it Really Mean for a Central Bank to Buy Gold?

Traditionally, gold is seen as a safe haven for investors who want to hedge their portfolios to allow for risk in other areas. This Mindset has seemed to shift recently. Gold and Silver have both outperformed the S&P this year and, supposedly, inflation is cooling.

So why continue to buy more? Many doubters see gold strictly as a “worst case scenario” hedge against total monetary or economic collapse. Could we see a future where we’re transacting with Silver Eagles? I’ll let you decide for yourself.

Regardless, while the narrative is showing that inflation is under control and economies are fine, consistent purchases of gold show a distrust in the ongoing value of fiat currencies.

Looking at it from this perspective, central banks are viewing the money that we’re told to save and sit on, as a risky investment that they need to hedge against.

This brings me back to my mindset of: if the wealthiest and the most educated do it, maybe I should consider it too. At least worth a look.

CRE Feeling the Pressure

Commercial real estate is currently grappling with challenges related to existing loans, creating opportunities for new general partners and operators to acquire distressed properties under favorable terms. How are limited partners identifying these investment opportunities, and how does your eQRP play a role in this process?

CrowdStrike? Never Heard of it

Does the recent global cyber outage present an opportunity to invest in a tech company that just became a household name? If technology isn't currently part of your eQRP strategy, consider reading this article—it might inspire you to think about having tech, or not, as a part of your portfolio.
